NFL Pick Em' Week 2: Are The Titans In Trouble?

Current Pick Em' Standings:

#1 Ryan (5-1)

#2 Maher (5-2)

#3 Nick Zuto (4-2)

#4 James (4-2)

#5 Vince (4-2)

#6 Zach (3-3)

#7 Patrick (2-4)

Week 1, the week of the upset, left most betters in Vegas in shambles as we saw some serious underdog victories. As we slowly dive into Sunday’s matchups I realized we could easily see a similar story in week 2. We chose a slate that would see the bulk of diverse answers. We’re in for a treat as teams like the Titans, Cowboys, and Ravens face an 0-2 reality as they head in as underdogs in their respective matchups. If you missed last week we’re adding in a bet to the spread game each week, and if it doesn't hit then you receive an L for the game.

San Francisco 49ers (1-0) @ Philadelphia Eagles (1-0)

Lines: SF -3.5 // O/U 50

James: 49ers

Vince: 49ers

Zach: 49ers

Nick: 49ers

Patrick: 49ers -3.5

Ryan: 49ers

Maher: Eagles

The Eagles are looking to upset the 49ers in back to back seasons as they meet in Philadelphia in week 2. San Francisco had a dominante 57 minutes against the Lions before a humiliating last two minutes of the game that saw them almost blow a massive lead. The 49ers traditionally struggle against running quarterbacks and with the injuries on their defense Jalen Hurts is in a great position to have a statement game. Philly blew out the Falcons last week and was able to get their young receivers involved and confident. Gear up for this banger week 2 matchup early on Sunday.

New Orleans Saints (1-0) @ Carolina Panthers (1-0)

Lines: NO -3.5 // O/U 44.5

James: Saints -3.5

Vince: Panthers

Zach: Saints

Nick: Saints

Patrick: Panthers

Ryan: Saints

Maher: Panthers

I don’t think anybody expected this matchup to be a battle of the unbeatens but here we are. New Orleans handed Aaron Rodgers the worst loss of his career last week as they absolutely crushed Green Bay in a 38-3 victory. Carolina looks drastically improved on the defensive side of the ball and has key starter CMC back and rolling. As Sam Darnold continues to get comfortable this team will grow, New Orleans has officially been put on upset watch.

Dallas Cowboys (0-1) @ Los Angeles Chargers (1-0)

Lines: Chargers -3.5 // O/U 55.5

James: Chargers

Vince: Chargers

Zach: Cowboys

Nick: Chargers

Patrick: Chargers

Ryan: Chargers

Maher: Chargers

Los Angeles stole a game last week against the Washington Football Team. Justin Herbert had his mishaps but finished with 337 yards and a TD in the victory. Their defense held strong and was able to apply constant pressure, if Austin Ekeler can get more involved we’re in for a treat against this Cowboys defense. Dallas ran into a buzzsaw in week 1 but were able to hold their own taking a last second L against the defending champs. Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper had an immediate connection last week and look to continue their success in week 2 against a much weaker secondary.

Tennessee Titans (0-1) @ Seattle Seahawks (1-0)

Lines: SEA -5.5 // O/U 54

James: Titans

Vince: Titans

Zach: Seahawks -5.5

Nick: Seahawks

Patrick: Seahawks

Ryan: Titans

Maher: Titans

The Titans were exposed in week 1 as Kyler and co popped off for 38 points and Derrick Henry was limited to 58 yards on 3.4 per carry. I expect to see a much more versatile offense that gets their two elite WR’s involved early. Seattle shot up power rankings with their dominant week 1 performance, Russell Wilson was a monster in the first half of 2020, I expect those numbers to continue. This is my spotlight matchup for week 2, Mike Vrabel is in for a true test early in 2021.

Chicago Bears (0-1) @ Cincinnati Bengals (1-0)

Lines: CHI -4 // O/U 45

James: bengals

Vince: Bengals

Zach: Bengals

Nick: Bears

Patrick: Bengals

Ryan: Bengals

Maher: Bears -4

As you can tell by our picks the team is very indifferent about this game and honestly knowing what Justin Fields real role is in the game would make a massive difference. Cincinnati pulled off an upset in week 1 and is well equipped to keep that trend going in week 2. Chicago got torched by the Rams and their secondary was nowhere to be found. They’re going to need to establish David Montgomery early and hopefully throw in some more Fields packages to see success and avoid an 0-2 start to the season.

Kansas City Chiefs (1-0) @ Baltimore Ravens (0-1)

Lines: KC -3.5 // O/U 55

James: Chiefs

Vince: Chiefs -3.5

Zach: Chiefs -3.5

Nick: Chiefs

Patrick: Chiefs

Ryan: Chiefs -3.5

Maher: Chiefs

Kansas City comes into Baltimore after beating Cleveland last week and is looking to keep the momentum rolling. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs look like they haven't skipped a beat since last year and boast an even better offensive line and return all of their key players. Baltimore is the most unlucky team in the NFL right now with 7 starters on IR (14 total players on IR). It's hard to beat KC healthy and it becomes an even taller task to overtake them with all the injuries to key players. Baltimore will have to play an almost perfect game to knock of KC but we’ve seen crazier things happen in the NFL.
