NFL Week 2 Power Rankings

Nick Pizzuto

After a long offseason, Week 1 did not disappoint. We have to keep in mind that week 1 is usually filled with overreactions.

At first glance, it looks like the NFC West will be the toughest division in football. The Cardinals came out the gate strong and made a statement with a dominating performance against last year's AFC south champions. The defense forced 3 turnovers and the offense looked in sync as they averaged 6.2 yards per play and converted on 53% of their 3rd downs.

Their division rival the 49ers also came out very strong. Even without Aiyuk and Mostert the offense looked lethal. They averaged 8 yards per play and had a league leading 31 points by halftime.

We may have watched a preview of the AFC Championship, the Browns vs Chiefs was my favorite game of the week. Baker looked flawless until his interception to end the game. He went 21/28 with 321 yards with just one interception he showed a lot of confidence with the tight throws he was making. The Browns run game was top tier as expected. Mahomes and the Chiefs still look like the team to beat in the AFC but it's going to be a wild race!
