Top Free Agent WR's / Potential Landing Spots

Writer: Ryan MobleyRyan Mobley

As the dominoes continue to fall we still have some high profile names that are without a team heading into training camp. A couple days ago we saw a classic case of “The rich getting richer” when Julio Jones signed to play with the NFC juggernaut Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I'm sure you just like the rest of us were really starting to get worried about Tom Brady's weapon supply. The names on this list are more then likely going to play a huge role in your Fantasy Football draft in the next couple weeks & provide contending teams with a big vertical boost. Below is a brief overview of some of the top receiving talent still available and our writer’s picks to where they land.

Odell Beckham Jr

OBJ proved his value for a contender as he had a dominant late season run with a TD in the Super Bowl before tearing his ACL. He turns 30 this year in November and likely will miss significant time throughout the season, but one thing that seems to be consensus is the community thinking he’ll sign with a solidified playoff team. Odell’s playoff run included 13.7 YPC, 72 YPG, and two huge TD’s to propel the Rams to world champion status. I imagine he takes the longest to sign out of this bunch, but whoever nabs him will receive a massive late season boost in the receiver room.

Will Fuller V

Will Fuller has been an absolute mystery the past couple seasons. It’s become one of my favorite twitter moments of the year when an accredited analyst projects him to have a “Massive Breakout” and then watching him finish out the season either suspended or hurt. He’s never played a full season in his 6 year career, but has shown flashes of brilliance when on the field. In 2020 he posted 879 yards per game and 8 TD’s in just 11 games, good for nearly 80 yards per game and 18.5 PPR points per game. There's plenty left in the tank as the former Dolphin just turned 28, the question mark lies in availability.

Emmanuel Sanders

The oldest of the group is the 35 year old Emmanuel Sanders. The vet’s production has slightly dwindled the last couple years but he was still good for 626 yards and 4 TD’s last year in a deep WR room. He’s a clear deep threat still with an average distance of target hovering above 15 yards. In the past 3 seasons, Sanders' presence has helped contribute to success. He’s been on 3 consecutive playoffs and his teams have held a record of 36-13. He’s going to land on a contender for a contract in the $4 Million - $7 Million range.

Cole Beasley

Speaking of a deep Bills WR room, Cole Beasley is also still on the block. Beasley was voted as a top 100 player amongst his peers just one year ago, and at age 33 he’s more than capable of being effective in the slot. Beasley has been good for 100+ targets in each of the last 3 seasons. His 536 slot snaps last year ranked 2nd amongst WR’s, and his consistent target separation could prove more than valuable for teams looking to help free up their #1 receiver. Beasley has been linked to multiple playoff teams from a season before, he’ll be a hot commodity as training camp ramps up.
