Week One is here, most drafts are complete, millions across the world think they’ve struck fantasy football gold and are going to absolutely dominate their friends. While optimism is still spreading for every team we’re here to provide a competitive edge and give you matchups we really like for the upcoming week. This will be a weekly installment from our team and will typically include non first round picks that we believe have potential to go off due to things like the defense they’re going up against, injuries, usage and much more. Week one is going to be a little more “blind” this year due to a lack of preseason and training camp access. This season is an unprecedented one, best of luck to all the fantasy owners out there.

Matchups:

LAR WR Robert Woods vs the Cowboys secondary who lost Byron Jones in Free Agency.

Woods led the Rams in Targets and Catches last season and now gets a good matchup in Week One versus a young Cowboys secondary who lost Byron Jones to Miami.

Connection between Joe Burrow and AJ Green without Derwin James

The entire world is excited to see the #1 Pick in action and with arguably the Chargers best defender going down the rookie and deep threat target AJ Green have a great opportunity to get off to a hot start in week one.

Eagles injured oline against rookie Chase Young and Washington’s pass rush

If you have a defense that is going up against an offensive juggernaut, half of the Eagles offense is hurt and the Washington Football Team is ready for a new era. This one is a wildcard for sure, but a high boom or bust if your league values sacks.

Derrick Henry vs. Broncos D-Line after Von Miller Injury:

Henry was a workhorse at the end of the year, he’s guaranteed at least twenty carries and with Von Miller out for the rest of the year on a bad ankle. Henry is poised for a breakout in week one.

Robby Anderson against young Raiders Secondary

The Raiders are starting two young corners in Trayvon Mullen and Damon Arnette. Arnette is sporting a fancy club on one hand due to injury so he isn’t a huge pick threat and Robby Anderson was the WR1 for an underwhelming Jets team last year.
