The Thursday Night football slate has already produced two good games and I don't think it stops in week 3. You might see the Jags and Dolphins and think it's a total trash game but I looked at the early season stats and the two teams are very similar. The Jags have looked really good on offense so far while the Dolphins have started slow but showed us last week that they have the weapons to score points.
Game Notes
Jacksonville:
DJ Chark is 4th on his team in targets and is really underperforming for the hype he was receiving in the Off-season. This could be his “get right’ game. Dolphins gave up 153 yards on 8 catches and a touchdown to Stefon Diggs.
Gardner Minshew has played great football so far putting up a completion percentage of 75% and 6 touchdowns.
The Dolphins defense is giving up 164.5 yards per game. James Robinson is seeing 94% of his teams rushing attempts and has 162 rushing yards on the season. This could be a huge game for Robinson and he could easily find the endzone.
Miami:
Jaguars Defense is giving up 301 passing yards per game. Mike Gesicki and DeVante Parker both had great games last week and we could see a ton of passing attempts by Ryan Fitzpatrick.
The RB situation in Miami is a Committee for sure. All three backs are involved but Myles Gaskin is leading the pack with 39% of the teams rushing attempts but is seeing all of the passing work.
We all know Fitzpatrick throws a ton which leads to some Interceptions. Fitz has only 2 touchdowns with 3 INTs. We’ve seen Burrow and Justin Herbert… Are we Nearing #TuaTime?
