Week 6 Starts
Trevor Lawrence vs Colts
TLaw is having a solid season but is the fantasy QB17 after being drafted as a top 10 QB during draft SZN. The 3rd year QB is going up against the Colts defense who is giving up just over 19 fantasy points to the position. If you have Lawrence, I still believe he’ll finish in the top 8 and this week we’ll watch the beginning of his rise to the elite level.
Rhamondre Stevenson at Raiders
I know the Patriots offense has been atrocious as of late but if they want to get back on track they need to lean on Rhamondre Stevenson and get him going early. The Raiders defense can’t stop a bloody nose and they certainly can’t stop a big bodied physical runner like Stevenson. He should see a healthy workload on the ground and could easily see 7+ targets against this defense. If Bill Belichick wants to get the media talking about them in a positive way Stevenson needs to be the focal point of their offense.
Jordan Addison at Bears
I already know that we’re going to get a ton of Addison questions on our Sunday morning twitter Q and A and rightfully so.. Addison gets a chance to show that he is a reliable go-to receiver with Jefferson being placed on IR earlier this week. Kirk Cousins is playing some good ball right now and I know that having Jefferson definitely helps that but Addison is a top 24 play for me this week against the Bears D. This game should be a shootout, with Addison’s speed and route running ability he has a solid chance at 12 PPR points without a TD. I like Addison as my top start of the week.
Logan Thomas at Falcons
For those who are streaming the position Thomas is a very solid play this week against the Falcons D who is giving up just over 10 fantasy points per game to Tight Ends. In the four games Thomas has played in he has 8+ targets or a TD in 3 of them. He’s shown to be the check down and security blanket for Howell and should continue to see enough volume to keep his fantasy floor high especially at a scarce position like Tight End.
Week 6 Sits
CJ Stroud vs Saints
CJ Stroud has had a great season so far but gets his first real test this week against a Saints D who is only giving up 12.5 fpts to QBs this season. Stroud hasn’t thrown an INT yet but this feels like the week that the odds are against him as the Saints are 2nd in the NFL in INTs with 7. If possible, I would look elsewhere if you are rostering Stroud.
Jerome Ford (and every Cleveland Browns Player) vs 49ers
I really wanted to put only Browns on the sit list but I have to give the people more than that. The 49ers defense is very good and the Browns will be without Deshaun Watson again. PJ Walker is the man who will face this defense and with that alone the Cleveland Browns will be on the bench for me.
Jahan Dotson vs Falcons
I was very high on Jahan Dotson and a 2nd year breakout but it doesn’t look great for him right now. He’s not as involved as McLaurin, Curtis Samuel or even Logan Thomas. Dotson is still a hold because I like the skill of the player and the upside he has if there is an injury ahead of him. For week 6 I would be looking for players with a higher floor.
Darren Waller at Bills
Daniel Jones is out and Waller is dealing with yet another injury. The Bills defense is banged up but without Jones, I don’t see how Waller (or any other Giants player outside of Saquon) does anything in this game.
