As Fantasy drafts slowly start creeping up we will be releasing some of our favorite later-round targets for each position, starting with the Wide Receiver Position. With the majority of my drafts starting off with mostly RB’s it becomes more important for me to hit on some deep WRs who can help with my depth at the position and could become an important piece to my starting lineup. I’ve found three receivers I usually end up with after the 9th round in all the mocks I have done. These segments are going to feature 1 safer option, 1 high upside player, and 1 deep target that I believe could breakout and out produce their Current ADP.
Antonio Brown, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
ADP: 9.08 - WR 42

Brown’s 2020 season was an interesting rollercoaster as he was suspended for the first 8 games of the season and signed on with Tampa Bay for the second half of the year. AB was a very solid option for the Buccaneers in his limited time racking up 45 catches on 62 targets for 483 yards and 4 touchdowns in 8 games. The future Hall Of Famer had a 19.9% target share and a 95% true catch rate (5th in the NFL). Antonio Brown might not be what he was when he was with the Steelers but he is still a legitimate NFL Receiver who is attached to one of the best passing offenses in the NFL.
Seeing the volume Brown got in this offense when he was activated shows that there is room for Brady to support 3 very good WR’s. With those numbers projected out into a 16 game seeing Brown potentially would have seen 124 targets, 90 catches, and 966 yards. Those numbers would have been good enough for a top 30 WR. With 7 targets a game, we could see the very explosive AB produce some great fantasy numbers on a consistent basis with NFL defenses already trying to stop the other all-pro receivers the Bucs have.
The potential for Brown to finish as a top 30 WR even with Evans and Godwin healthy are obviously there and he could have even more success if one of those receivers went down to injury. In the back of the 9th round, he is a legit piece to add as WR depth and a good late-round target for those who went RB heavy in the early parts of the draft.
Henry Ruggs III, Las Vegas Raiders
ADP: 12.02- WR 54

Henry Ruggs’ rookie season was mostly one to forget about. He did show flashes of his game-changing speed and great hands which was a pleasant sight to see for the Fantasy Community. There were plenty of rumors about the Raiders being in on Kenny Golladay, Juju Smith-Schuster, Julio Jones, and, Heck, even Corey Davis, but all they did was sign John Brown and Willie Snead to one-year deals. This shows the confidence Gruden and Co, have with Henry Ruggs to take the next step and become what this offense needs which is a consistent producer at all levels of the field.
The Raiders let Nelson Agholor walk in free agency and he leaves behind 84 targets, 22 of which were deep targets that would fit Henry Ruggs’ playstyle perfectly. Derek Carr was one of PFF’s best deep-ball passers last season and we could really see that Carr/ Ruggs connection really take that leap forward. Carr was 8th in the league in deep Ball attempts and 10th in deep-ball accuracy while Ruggs was 1st in the NFL in target separation with 2.31 yards and 2nd in average target distance with 17.4.
A significant bump in targets could vault Ruggs into a top 36 wide receiver with upside for more. With Targets to be had and speed that could change a game with one play, Ruggs seems like the clear beneficiary and should become the next staple of the offense behind Darren Waller.
Elijah Moore, New York Jets
ADP: 15.10- WR 63

Elijah Moore is more of a deeper target but I wanted to bring him up because I truly believe he could a very impactful season for the Zach Wilson-led Jets. Moore was the 34th pick in the NFL draft out of Ole Miss and ran a 4.35 40 yard dash. Robert Salah is already talking up Moore in OTA’s saying how he can line up at all the receiver spots and could “execute at a very high level”. Robert Salah is coming over from the San Francisco 49ers who have had success recently using Aiyuk and Deebo in the screen game and with the End around.
I believe Salah will definitely use Moore in the same manner and he could thrive in the open field. Fellow rookie Zach Wilson is a very accurate and willing passer and he could develop some chemistry with Moore very quickly. The Jets are still deep in a rebuild and could be playing from behind in almost all their games and we will see Salah trust Wilson and Moore to try to make something happen as both have game-changing skillsets. The rewards outweigh the risks for Moore with a basically free 15th round ADP.
