QB Starts
Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints ( vs 49ers)
The 49ers defense has been hit hard with injuries and haven’t been able to stop anyone from scoring. Drew Brees and the Saints looked great against the Bucs last week and now have everyone back healthy. Brees is the QB14 this season and is riding a very impressive streak of 6 games of over 20 FPTS. The 49ers have given up more than 34 points in each of the last 2 games and have given up big numbers to the opposing QB with 38 to Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers. Brees should have an easy time in this game and that makes him a Must Start.
Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams (vs Seahawks)
It’s hard to justify not starting Jared Goff this week. The Seahawks have allowed the most yards in the NFL this year and may have one of the worst defenses in the League. Jared Goff has been playing good enough football to expose this defense. Coming off a bye week, Jared Goff and the Rams offense should light up the field in what should be a divisional shootout. With the Weapons that Goff has at his disposal its hard not to put him in as a top 10 QB this week.
QB Sits
Teddy Bridgewater, Carolina Panthers (vs Buccaneers)
The Buccaneers defense was embarrassed last week but that doesn’t mean they aren’t a good unit. They are still only giving up 336 total yards and only 22 points per game. Teddy B has had a very respectable year so far but faces a tough test this week. The Buccaneers kept Bridgewater under 10 FPTS in their last meeting and could very well hold him to a modest number again.
RB Starts
James Conner, Pittsburgh Steelers (vs Bengals)
In a season full of RB injuries it’s nice to see James Conner still healthy and playing great. Conner's last game was a weird outcome where the Steelers found themselves playing from behind against the Cowboys. This game should be a different story and will feature Conner more as a bell-cow running back. The Bengals allow over 144 rushing yards per game and have not been able to slow down opponent rushers this season. Conner should be a low end RB1 to a high end RB2.
Miles Sanders, Philadelphia Eagles (at Giants)
Miles Sanders is back and poised for a huge game. The Eagles are set to face the division rival New York Giants. On paper, this game should be a blowout. The Eagles will have left tackle Jason Peters and right tackle Lane Johnson back from injuries. Expect Sanders to handle a majority of the runs as well as see some action catching the ball in the backfield. I see this being Sanders' best game of the year. The Giants have been respectable against the run while averaging 94 rushing yards per game. Sanders can do it all and with all of the weapons back the Eagles will look to open up the playbook like they wanted early on in the season.
RB Sits
Devin Singletary, Buffalo Bills (at Cardinals)
This should be a high scoring game with Josh Allen and Kyler Murray facing off. Last week Singletary was actually used less than Zach Moss and Moss looked like the better player. The running back for the Bills isn’t usually a top option because Josh Allen usually takes all the goal line work but with Zach Moss coring 2 TDs in the last 2 weeks, I just don’t see Singletary seeing the field enough to warrant anything more than a low end flex option
WR starts
Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp, Los Angeles Rams (vs Seahawks)
Yes It’s both of them. The Seahawks haven’t been able to stop wide receivers and I don’t see that stopping this week. Seattle is dead last in the league in passing yards given up with a total of 362 yards per game. There is enough usage to go around in this game and it should not be surprising if we see both of these options at the top of the week 10 leaderboards.
Terry McLaurin, Washington Football Team (at Lions)
Terry McLaurin looks to be matchup (and QB) proof. Scary Terry is a target hog in the Washington offense and should get better with Alex Smith at QB. He’s had 7 catches in 3 straight weeks and is used all over the field. The Lions give up 243 passing yards per game and even with those modest numbers McLaurin could still have a major impact in this game. I have doubted McLaurin in the past and He has definitely shut me up this season and turned me into a huge believer.
WR Sits
Jakobi Meyers, New England Patriots (vs Baltimore)
Meyers had been a target machine over the last two weeks due to the injuries to Julian Edelman and N’Keal Harry but faces a Ravens defense giving up 223 passing yards per game. Meyers was really the only Patriots receiver who was effective against the Jets. The Ravens will surely have help covering Meyers and will dare New England to beat them with the run. Meyers is a good Stash but I would not insert him into my lineup this week.
TE Starts
Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles (at Giants)
As stated earlier, on paper the Eagles game against the Giants should be a blowout and having Dallas Goedert back definitely helps. Carson Wentz has targeted Goedert more than any receiver this year when healthy. Goedert should be the go to guy on third and short situations as well as the primary target in play actions passes. Goedert was great early on and with him healthy now it will be very interesting to see how much work he gets. I have Goedert this week as a top 8 Option.
Sleepers
QB- Alex Smith, Washington Football Team (at Lions)
Alex Smith gets his first start since his injury against a below average Lions Defense. With Terry McLaurin, Logan Thomas, Antonio, Gibson and JD McKissic, Smith has a Solid surrounding cast that could lead to a very respectable day.
RB- Devontae Booker, Las Vegas Raiders (vs Broncos)
Booker has been slowly seeing his role increase since the bye week for the Raiders. He is the clear handcuff to Josh Jacobs and Gruden isn’t afraid to give him the ball for extended periods of time. If you are in a deeper league and desperate for a running back Booker hold some sleeper value.
WR- Darnell Mooney, Chicago Bears (vs Vikings
The Bears rookie Wide Receiver has solidified himself as the team’s number 2 option and he even had more targets last week than Allen Robinson. Mooney is a big play threat who can score at any time. With the Uptick in Targets we should see Mooney really show what he’s capable of.
TE- Kyle Rudolph, Minnesota Vikings (at Bears)
With Irv Smith Jr. out for week 10 Kyle Rudolph will be thrust into a bigger role and should build on his 3 catch for 40 yard mark he had a week ago.
