The Fantasy Playoffs start next week and this Forecast is as important as ever. Congratulations to you if you made the playoffs and you can always find us on twitter for some advice.
Week 13 has the last two bye weeks with the Panthers and the Chiefs. The Fantasy Playoffs are almost here and make sure you set those lineups and look at the schedules for your QB’s and D/ST.
QB Starts
Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings (vs Jaguars)
The Vikings are getting back Adam Thielen and now face a Jaguars team that is giving up big points to opposing offenses. In 6 of the last 7 games he’s thrown multiple TD passes with four 3+ touchdown games. He’s been nothing short of great and with Dalvin Cook being the beast he is, it’s been overlooked. Cousins is a strong play this week and could even put up another boom game. Cousins doesn't get enough credit in the fantasy world but the dude has been putting up great numbers.
Matt Stafford, Detroit Lions (at Bears)
Kenny Golladay is out again for the Lions but against a Chicago team who is inconsistent at times I will take my chances with a QB who slings the ball with no fear like Stafford. He still has TJ Hockenson and Marvin Jones as his leading receivers. Stafford is always a threat fior multiple touchdown passes and over 300 yards.
QB Sit
Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons (vs Saints)
Julio Jones is out and that usually means that Matt Ryan moves to the Bench. If Julio being out wasn’t enough for you maybe the fact that he’s going up against the saints defense who has been playing lights out as of late and isn’t allowing much room in any facets of the game. If you have a backup for Matty Ice it would be smart to start him this week.
RB Starts
Wayne Gallman, New York Giants (at Seahawks)
At the time of this piece being written Daniel Jones is listed as Doubtful in this game so Colt McCoy draws the start for the G-Men. Gallman gets another start and since he started getting more work on week 7 when Freeman got hurt he's scored in every single game in that span. The Seahawks are in the bottom half of the league in rushing defense so even with McCoy starting Gallman should still see a nice workload for fantasy managers to feel good about.
Austin Ekeler, Los Angeles Chargers (vs Patriots)
Ekeler is back and head coach Anthony Lynn wasn’t shy about keeping him in the game last week. The versatile 3rd year back was in on 73% of snaps and rushed the ball 14 times for 44 yards but was, of course, a huge piece in the passing game with 11 catches for 85 yards on 16 targets. Ekeler has great chemistry with rookie QB Justin Herbert and the Chargers are drawing up plays for their star back. The New England Patriots are struggling to stop the run and we will see Ekeler match the rushing attempts and could even see more rushing yards.
RB Sit
Atlanta Falcons Running Backs (vs Saints)
The Saints defense is tough and we still don’t know the status of Todd Gurley and it’s hard to pick which Falcon’s back would be the next in line. Brian Hill and Ito Smith are two underwhelming backs who, even in a great matchup, are tough to start.
WR Starts
Deebo Samuel, San Francisco 49ers (vs Bills)
Deebo Samuel was an offseason breakout pick before the foot injury and it looks like he’s the real deal. The 49ers offense is getting healthy again and even with Nick Mullens it still is capable of at least moving the ball. Last week against a tough Rams defense he drew 11 catches on 13 targets for 133 yards. The rushing numbers are down from last year but he is very capable of taking handoffs for a big play. Deebo is one of my favorite plays this week.
Allen Lazard, Green Bay Packers (vs Eagles)
Lazard started the season hot before he was injured and was forced to miss 6 games. Aaron Rodgers is playing out of his mind right now and with Adams drawing more looks Lazard should be targeted more than 6+ times and with Aaron Rodgers the upside for a touchdown or 100 yards is always there.
WR Sit
TY Hilton, Indianapolis Colts (at Texans)
TY Hilton was nothing more than a low end FLEX play for the first 11 weeks of the season but in week 12 he scored a touchdown on 4 catches and 81 yards. Houston's defense is not good but with Michael Pittman Jr, Nyheim Hines and Philip Rivers at QB, Hilton is a low end FLEX play again and the Colts could turn to the run game if this game is a blow out early
TE Starts:
TJ Hockenson, Detroit Lions (at Bears)
Hockenson has been in this article before and he’s had a great season so far with only 1 bust game so far and without Kenny Golladay and D’Andre Swift, Hockenson is in line for another solid game again. The Hockenson breakout is happening and it doesn’t look like he’s close to his potential.
