The Start and Sit Article is back! These last couple weeks have been pretty busy for me and I was unable to get this done. I apologize for not being able to help you out during that time but we are back just in time for the Fantasy Playoffs! Some leagues start their playoffs this week or its the last week before the ‘yoffs start, so stay tuned for our Starts and Sits every week and you know you can find us on Twitter @TheUpsidePlay where we do some Q/A every Sunday Morning. Thanks as always for reading! Please share and follow us on Twitter!
QB Start
Taysom Hill vs New York Jets
Hill is starting again for the directionless Saints and when he starts he should be viewed as a top 10 Fantasy QB. In week 13 he finished as the QB6 even with 4 INTs. It’s no secret that Hill is a cheat code and the 11 rushes for 101 yards in his first start proves that. The Jets have been awful against QBs this year so the rushing upside matched with the 12-15 points he’ll get you through the air is enough to make him a must start.
Teddy Bridgewater vs Detroit Lions
Teddy B isn’t the biggest name but he’s a solid option this week against a Lions defense giving up 26.3 points per game. The Broncos Weapons are some of the best in the league and Bridgewater is good enough to make an impact and give you a solid stat line in a spot start.
QB Sit
Baker Mayfield vs Baltimore Ravens
Baker Mayfield’s injuries are starting to catch up to him and with Chubb and Hunt back we can see The Browns go away from the pass. Mayfield has scored over 20 points once over the last 7 weeks and I don’t see a 20 point performance this week for the Progressive Commercial Star.
RB Start
Leonard Fournette vs Buffalo Bills
On paper the Bills have a solid run defense but we’ve seen huge rushing games in the recent weeks against them. Fournette is the true workhorse in this offense and the Bucs will look to establish the rush early in this game and Fournette is in line for a big game. Lenny has a very high floor with only 2 games this season with less than 10 points and has 9 TDs on the year. With Playoffs potentially on the line for some Fantasy Teams you can confidently fire up Playoff Lenny in week 14.
Javonte Williams vs Detroit Lions
I know this seems obvious after the game he had on Sunday Night Football where he finished as the overall RB1 on the week but with Melvin Gordon coming back there will be questions on his usage. All season we’ve seen a 50/50 split between these two but after Sunday Night there’s no way Fangio and the Broncos go away from Williams. The Lions are terrible on defense and Williams has the big play ability to make an impact even if the Broncos go to a committee again.
RB Sit
Ezekial Elliott vs Washington Football Team
Zeke looks done and the Cowboys are rightfully giving Tony Pollard more carries. Elliott is banged up and doesn’t give the Cowboys the best chance to establish the run and give them the best chance to win. It’s just a matter of time before they fully go to Pollard.
WR Start
Hunter Renfrow vs Kansas City Chiefs
HUnter Renfrow is on fire. Since the Raiders week 8 bye He has 4 games of 9or more targets and 4 games of over 17 points with only 2 TDs. He’s involved heavily in this offense and he can have an impactful game even if he doesn't find pay dirt. The Raiders will be throwing the ball a ton against the Chiefs, so look for Hunter Renfrow to have yet another great game.
Mike Williams vs New York Giants
Keenan Allen is currently on the COVID-19 list so his status for Sunday is uncertain. We’ve seen Mike Williams ball out this year and he has the opportunity against a terrible secondary with the Giants. He’s a big deep threat with homerun ability and he should find the endzone in this one even if Keenan Allen is able to play.
WR Sit
Brandin Cooks vs Seattle Seahawks
Tyrod Taylor is banged up so there’s a great chance we see Davis Mills in this one. I know Cooks will be targeted a ton but the Seahawks are surprisingly good against WRs and I just don't want to trust the Texans Offense.
TE Start of the Week
Zach Ertz vs Los Angeles Rams
Zach Ertz has a great matchup against the Rams who aren't as good with TEs as they are with WR’s. With Hopkins expected to be shadowed by Jalen Ramsey we can see Ertz become an even bigger part of one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL.
