Week 4 is in the books and what a week it has been. The Bills, Colts and Rams all opened up the morning games with predicted wins. The surprise of the morning was when The Browns put 49 against the Cowboys in a stunning upset. The Buccaneers and Seahawks continued to dominate and get a win in a couple of close games. The Saints were also able to bounce back from the last couple of weeks with the a win while the Vikings won the best of the worse game against the Texans.
With all the craziness in week 4, what did we really learn?
The Cowboys offense is really good and their defense is really bad. The offense is averaging more than 31 points in the game all the while the defense is allowing an average of more than 36 points a game.
The Colts are contenders. With one of the most well rounded teams in the NFL, the Colts are continuing to show their dominance. After losing the upset to the Jaguars in Week 1, the Colts defense showed they are one of the best in the league by allowing less than 10 points a game in each of the last three games. It is worth noting that these were against the Vikings who have had trouble getting things going, the Jets and the Bears. It’ll be interesting to see how they show up against the Browns next week.
The Houston Texans may need to start rebuilding sooner than later. After a promising playoff season and the extension of Deshaun Watson, the Texans find themselves at 0-4. Not only does it seem like playoff hopes are out the picture for this year, the Texans don’t have much to look forward to as they don’t have a first or second round pick in the upcoming draft. Is it time to start selling?
On the other hand, the Miami Dolphins don’t seem so far from being a team that can win some games. Although they are 1-3 on the year, their losses against the Bills and Seahawks were both by one possession. Not only are they competing now, the Dolphins also hold 2 first round picks and 2 seconds round picks in the 2021 NFL draft. Fortunately for the Dolphins, two of the picks (one in first and one in second) are from the 0-4 Houston Texans. Expect the 2021 Dolphins to head into the season with some promising rookies.
With a week like this, there is no telling how the rest of the year plays out. Although the NFL season is up in the air, fantasy football is starting to clear up. Let’s took at Week 4’s The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.
