Week 5 is in the books and who knows how many weeks we have left. COVID Cam and the rest of the Patriots placed their season on hold as they are dealing with the virus. On the other hand, we have the Titans who are scheduled to play Tuesday due to their relaxed approach to the COVID protocols.
Let’s drift our focus from the games that didn’t happen to the games that did. What did we learn?
The Cowboys now hold first place in the NFC East, but at what cost? In a battle against the division rival Giants, Dak Prescott suffered a gruesome ankle injury that will sideline him for the rest of the year. Although Andy Dalton delivered a game winning dime, it’ll be interesting to see how productive they are without their franchise quarterback that was on pace for a career year.
It looks all but over for the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers lost in embarrassing fashion to the Dolphins. The now healthy Jimmy Garoppolo may have been better off hurt as he was benched later in the game following a disappointing performance. It’s looking like the injuries are really taking a toll on the reigning NFC Champs.
On the other side of this, the Dolphins future may be now. After highlighting their future picks in last weeks segment, the Dolphins showed they don’t need to wait until next year to win. With both a solid pass and run stop defense, the Dolphins are here and ready to compete.
The Chiefs are human. If the close win against the Chargers wasn’t a concern, the upset to the Raiders this weekend is sure to scratch some heads. Although Patrick Mahomes threw for 340 yards, the Chiefs failed to get anything going in the run game. Have the Chiefs been exposed or are the Raiders actually kind of good?
I think I speak for everyone when I say I can’t wait to see how this year plays out.....if it plays out. Now, let’s take a look at this weeks fantasy The Good, The Bad and The Ugly:
