Week 6: What We Learned + The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

Week 6 is finished and we are starting to see the elite teams separating themselves from the rest of the league. It’s clear that the Chiefs, Seahawks, Titans, and Steelers of the league are the clear contenders. The rest of the league seems to be somewhat in the same place, winning against good matchups and losing against bad ones, unless your the Jets where every matchup is a bad matchup. There is not much we learned about these elite teams, they showed up and got the job done as usual. What did we see from everyone else? It seems all but certain that you can count the Cowboys out. Six weeks ago we thought Dallas would be a top contender in the NFC. After a horrible defensive start to the season, things just got worse and worse. It was all but over when Dak Prescott went down. The Cowboys showed just how bad they are Monday night when they couldn’t get anything going on offense as they turned the ball over 4 times, two of which were fumbles by Elliot. Just when you thought they hit rock bottom, rumors of lazy and unprepared coaching arose. Is Mike McCarthy on the hot seat? I bet Cowboy fans would like to have Jason Garrett back. On the other hand, a team that could have been counted out bounced back and showed some promise. The 49ers followed up an embarrassing loss to the Dolphins with a dominant performance over the division rival Rams. The offense showed creativity and the quarterback showed consistency as Garropolo continues to be one of the few quarterbacks yet to start and lose two games in a row. Keeping it in the division, the Arizona Cardinals are continuing to show promise. With the addition of Deandre Hopkins, the Cardinals now have an elite pass attack that can give any defensive backfield nightmares. Second year Kyler Murray is showing us that he made the right move committing to football by showing us that he is no bust. Murray and Drake have given the Cardinals a dynamic rush backfield. On top of this, Cardinals have a solid defense that will keep the team in games long enough to get the offense going. As far as fantasy is concern, a lot of starts did disappoint and one guy alone could have put your team on his back this week. Let’s take a like at The Upside’s Week 6 The Good, The Bad and The Ugly! THE GOOD Derrick Henry. 264 Total Yards and 2 TDs. Deshaun Watson. 335 Passing Yards and 4 TDs. Julio Jones. 137 Receiving Yards and 2 TDS. THE BAD Devin Singletary. 45 Total Yards. Aaron Rodgers. 160 Passing Yards and 2 Interceptions. Deandre Hopkins. 2 Receptions and 73 Total Yards. THE UGLY Tyreek Hill. 3 Receptions and 25 total yards. Odell Beckham Jr. 2 Receptions and 25 total yards. Juju Smith-Schuster. 2 Receptions and 6 Total Yards. Cover Photo: Credit: USA TODAY Sports
